Elon Musk’s xAI officially launched the first version of Grok Studio on Wednesday, introducing powerful features designed to streamline the creative and coding experience for all users.
With Grok Studio, users can now generate and execute code, create documents and browser games, and even collaborate in real time through a dedicated content window. It will make AI-powered development more interactive and accessible.
It supports live code execution in several popular languages, including Python, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, and bash script.
Users can write code, test it instantly in a “preview” tab, and iterate without switching tools. Although Julia code can still be generated, execution support is unavailable. For that, users are advised to use Jupyter Notebook or VS Code with the Julia extension.
For better workflow integration, Grok Studio now lets users attach and work with files directly from Google Drive. Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides are also in the studio for better performance. The AI can read and interact with users’ Google Drive content, making it a valuable assistant for collaborative tasks, document editing, and data analysis.
Beyond programming, Grok Studio opens up creative possibilities. Whether users are building interactive reports, generating articles, or designing browser-based games, everything is rendered in a separate, clean workspace that enhances focus and collaboration.
The feature is similar to OpenAI’s Canvas, Google Canvas, and Claude Artifacts by Anthropic.
xAI recently launched Grok 3, capable of reasoning, solving problems, understanding the world, and following instructions. It was trained on Colossus using 10 times more computing power than previous state-of-the-art models. Grok 3 has leading performance across academic benchmarks and real-world user preferences, achieving an Elo score of 1402 in the Chatbot Arena.
